https://journal.amikompurwokerto.ac.id/index.php/RITEKES/article/view/130

The Brain Gym intervention in this study was implemented to evaluate improvements in gross motor skills among
children aged 1–3 years. A quasi-experimental pretest posttest design with a non equivalent control group was
employed, involving 30 children who met the inclusion criteria and were selected using purposive sampling. The
Brain Gym intervention was conducted over a four week period, with three sessions per week, and each session
lasted 20–30 minutes. Gross motor development was assessed using the Denver Developmental Screening Test
(DDST). The paired T test demonstrated a significant improvement in gross motor skill scores among children in
the intervention group following the Brain Gym intervention (p < 0.001). Furthermore, an independent
samples T test of the change scores (Δ) revealed a statistically significant difference between the intervention
and control groups (p = 0.048). These findings support the potential use of Brain Gym as an intervention to improve
gross motor skills and facilitate the development of movement abilities and functional capacity in children aged
1–3 years.
Mubayinul KhoerohArjun Gholpa AshadiErsiana Intansari

https://journal.amikompurwokerto.ac.id/index.php/RITEKES/article/view/153

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a critical component of the industrial sector, playing a fundamental role in preventing occupational accidents, which are commonly associated with unsafe acts. The utilization of technology, such as barcode systems, represents an innovative approach to improving worker compliance and enhancing the effectiveness of risk control measures. This study aimed to analyze the effect of implementing a barcode system on reducing unsafe acts among workers at PT Gunungdjati Perkasa Cilacap. A quantitative approach with a quasi experimental one group pretest posttest design was employed. A total of 30 workers were recruited using total sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires, direct observations, checklists, and documentation, and were analyzed using a paired-samples t test. The findings demonstrated an increase in workers' compliance scores, with the mean score rising from 30.00 before the intervention to 36.00 after the implementation of the barcode system. The number of unsafe acts decreased from 80 incidents to 40 incidents, representing a 50% reduction. Statistical analysis indicated a significant change following the intervention (p < 0.05). Nevertheless, challenges remained, particularly regarding workers' limited understanding of and awareness of the barcode system. In conclusion, the implementation of a barcode system was effective in improving worker compliance and reducing unsafe acts. However, its optimal implementation requires continuous socialization, training, and reinforcement of an occupational safety and health culture.
Nita Sofia RakhmawatiMuhammad Bimo Anggoro AdiAndy Wijaya

Mothers play a crucial role in stimulating children’s development, and their ability to provide appropriate stimulation is influenced by their knowledge of developmental stages, developmental tasks, stimulation techniques, developmental characteristics, and developmental monitoring. This study aimed to assess mothers’ knowledge of developmental stimulation among children aged 4–5 years. A descriptive study with a survey approach was conducted using accidental sampling, involving 65 respondents. The findings showed that most mothers had a moderate level of knowledge regarding developmental stimulation, accounting for 47 respondents (72.3%). This moderate level of maternal knowledge may limit the optimal provision of developmental stimulation and potentially affect children’s developmental outcomes.
MaslikhahPutri Andanawarih

Death during childbirth is usually the main factor in the death of young women at the peak of their productivity. Prenatal classes are a means of learning about health for pregnant women in the form of face-to-face in a group. The aim is to improve the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of mothers and families regarding pregnancy, prenatal care, childbirth, postpartum care, illnesses or complications during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum, and newborn care. The participation of pregnant women and their families in prenatal classes is expected to increase knowledge and change the behavior of pregnant women and their families. The approach method used in this study is an empirical juridical/sociological (social-legal approach). The juridical aspect includes legal principles, rules or legal norms, and regulations regarding the implementation of prenatal classes as an effort to reduce maternal mortality. The data analysis method used is a qualitative analysis method. Qualitative analysis was used to determine the implementation of prenatal classes as an effort to reduce maternal mortality, in accordance with Minister of Health Regulation No. 97 of 2014. It also examined the barriers to their implementation and how to overcome them.
Ni'matul UlyaSwasti Artanti

Academic stress is a major challenge among health sciences students and may lead to physical tension and sleep disturbances. Facial massage and progressive muscle relaxation are non pharmacological interventions that promote relaxation and reduce muscle tension. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of progressive muscle relaxation and facial massage in reducing the level of academic stress among adolescents. This study employed a quasi experimental design using a one group pretest posttest design, involving 13 respondents who met the inclusion criterion of having a comparable academic workload. The research instruments consisted of the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS) questionnaire and an intervention observation sheet. The results showed that, at baseline (pre test), only 30.8% of respondents were categorized as having a normal level of stress. Following the intervention (post-test), the proportion of respondents in the normal stress category increased to 92.3%. The normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed, with p-values of 0.111 for the pre-test and 0.481 for the post-test (p > 0.05). The paired t-test demonstrated a statistically significant difference between pre-test and post-test stress scores (p = 0.001, p < 0.05), with a calculated t-value of 4.626 and a mean reduction in stress score of 8.615. In conclusion, the combination of progressive muscle relaxation and facial massage was significantly effective in reducing academic stress levels among adolescents. These findings suggest that this combined non-pharmacological intervention may be a feasible approach for managing academic stress among students.
Gita Ayu IndriaErnawatiLaely NurohmahErsiana Intansari

The toddler period is a critical stage of growth and development, accompanied by increasing nutritional requirements. According to the Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (Survei Status Gizi Indonesia/SSGI) 2024, the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia was 19.8%, while in Banyumas Regency it reached 19.6%. These figures indirectly indicate persistent nutritional challenges, including the possibility of reduced appetite among some toddlers. Reduced appetite is commonly observed in toddlers and may be influenced by various factors, one of which is impaired digestive function. If not addressed at an early stage, this condition may increase the risk of nutritional problems, impaired growth, and eventually stunting. Management of appetite disturbances can involve non-pharmacological therapies, such as Tuina massage and acupressure at the Tianshu point (ST25), which are considered effective and associated with minimal adverse effects. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of a combination of Tuina massage and acupressure at the Tianshu point (ST25) in improving appetite among toddlers. A qualitative research design using a case study approach was employed. The study involved three toddler participants from RW 01, Tambaknegara Village, Rawalo District, Banyumas Regency. The findings indicated that the administration of Tuina massage combined with acupressure at the Tianshu point (ST25) was effective in improving appetite among toddlers.
Anisa Sevi OktavianiAnida SaputriGita Ayu Indria
